cool.
so if im reading this right, each armor set will be displayable as that armor type if you posted it for any character. so...if you got one FoW set and one vabbian, you can display for any class? this will probably get me to buy one of each type of elite armor...spread over all my characters on my account.

Finally, a good update that gets back to at least one of the basic principles of GW - encouragement to play and learn multiple characters and professions. Even better, I have absolutely no questions about how it will work, because I read the whole post. As long as they don't change anything they've said here, it's all pretty self-explanatory.
I do wish they would change more of the gold-only titles to account based, the way Lucky and Unlucky are.
Drunkard, Sweet Tooth, Party Animal, Elite Skill Captures. All could easily fit the account-based method.

Lol everyone remember how the HOM was on the sneak peak weekend you had a specific profession and gender for each armor that appeared
i dont think it would be easy if they were to change alot of the titles to account based. kinda like the retrospective achievments.

Regarding GW2 unlocks and exactly how things will work:
Noone knows yet, A-net probably haven't got it worked out yet. Noone can give a truthfully full answer to these questions.
My interpretation regarding the armour:
In character-based mode it will look exactly as it does now.
In account-based mode you will see a monument for each armour added by any character on your account (up to the maximum number that can be displayed), but it will appear as armour for the proffession and sex of the character you are currently looking at it with, and will presumably have the colour of the current armour he/she is wearing.

I think they should do treasure & wisdom title account based aswell
I hate always have to switch to my warrior for identifying golds and not beeing able to use lockpicks/key because i have to save them up for my warrior
here's what i think they should make account based: - Drunkard (some ppl use it for their dwarven skills)
- Treasure Hunter (see above)
- Wisdom (see above)
- Sweet Tooth (Some sweets provide a bonus ingame, so every character can use them and they don't have to be saved up for use by a certain character)
- Party Animal (we already have Drunkard & Sweet tooth, so we can just add this one)
- Vanquisher (see above)
Should stay character based: (but can ofcourse be added to account-HoM) - Survivor (unique for the character, accountbased would be to easy)
- Legendary Defender Of Ascalon (unique for the character, accountbased would be to easy)
- Maxed titles (there should be some challenge to gaining r6)
- Sunspear, Lightbringer, Asura, Deldrimor, Ebon Vanguard, Norn (be honest, these aren't too hard to gain, they just take some time)
- Master of the North (the vanquished areas DO count accountwide, dungeons, missions and map exploration is characterbased)
- Protector, Guardian & Legendary Guardian
- Carthographer
- Skill Hunter (so that it won't be TOO easy to get elite and to let elite tomes keep their value)
Titles in the account-based list should be added (for example: my warrior has 350 ID's on his wisdom title, my monk has 100 ID's, so the total should be 450)
That's also one of the reasons i didn't add protector & carthographer to the accountbased list => (for example: if someone has completely carthographed an area, it should be available to all character to see it completely, even if they didn't visit that area yet, same for missions)

I would put Skill Hunter and Protector/Guardian at account-wide section. I think it would be much more of an advantage having mutiple-character with all the skills spread out around them than one character with all. Taking my main argument reffering from vanquish "if if capture an elite skill with one character, should the game say 'no you didint captured this skill before therefore you will need to have the same trouble of capturing it again with your other character'?". The game favors you at PvP if you capture one elite skill (and even the normal ones) because you will have acess to it. and to those who will use this to say that you should have elite skills unlocked at PvE: It would ruin the experience of building a chratacer if this happened. There are also many minor points in favor of what i say that we can easly think of (money, time, usefulness).
Now reffering to Protector/Guardian. I will use the same argument as for vanquishing. And also a very plain and simple: to have fun. Having mutiple characters and going for a title, the experience will be far more enjoyable knowing that you can play any role you want to. At least it does sound for me (i have 5 characters i like to play for fun, mesmer, elementalist, warrior, assassin, ritualist and dervish).

I don't quite understand. So if I let's say get Survivor title on any cahracter, that title becomes account based in the HoM?

Ahm, i dont quiet understand one thing.
If i buy a Vaabian armor with my mesmer and i log in with my Ritualist, will it display a Vaabian armor for my ritualist (with the ritualist model and etc)?

By the way, I'm a little confused about some of it.
If you have multiple armoursets across multiple characters (e.g Marhan's Grotto armour on your Mesmer in the HoM and Ancient on your Ranger), would it add both the Marhan's Grotto and the Ancient armour in all of your HoM's?

I wonder will different titles from different characters count to KoaBD in the account-based mode. If so, no point making anything account-wide since the account-based HoM will count in GW2.

This is neat, but I have to say..
I'm surprised that after all the stupid little things Guru member complained about in the HoM that people are so excited over this.
This is... really not that big of a deal
I'm glad the general response is positive, but you people are strange..

yes i also doubt they'll change the current titles. Also You may get GWAMM on one character which causes the beacon across the account but it doesnt mean al lthe characters get the title. so if you like the look of titless which i do im still going for KOABD on each one
